Whenever I have signed for a neighbour's delivery the driver also puts a card through the neighbour's door informing them that I have it.

I had deliveries yesterday for the folks over the road. The guy promised to put a card through their door. They did not pick it up so I figured they were tired or late home or going out etc.. so I popped round today with them.

Turns out the folks wondered where they were and didn't come over to pick them up because they did not have a card through the door.

Nearly every courier I have now takes a photo of my front door whether I've taken delivery or not

That's got to be a crap job especially at this time of year. Nowhere to park, impossible targets, no-one at home etc. Why not do deliveries in the evening when there's more chance of finding people in?
