Have to agree with Risteard about the C3 as it is not to the latest regulations, therefore improvement is recommended.

That it would result in C3 becoming so widespread that it would lose its impact and it would probably end up being completely ignored by most people, thereby detracting from things for which a C1 or C2 can't be justified but which really could use improving.And your point is?
I wasn't suggesting that it should. I was pointing out the problem with suggesting that anything which does not meet the current requirements of BS7671 should automatically get an "improvement recommended" code precisely because it would result in such a ridiculous situation.Then maybe you shouldn't be suggesting that red/black wiring could even be considered as meriting a C3.
