Electric ignition gone on gas hob?

Your upstairs lighting circuit has been upgraded/had some changes made recently by the looks of it. This would mean that they had to install RCD protection. The proper way to do it in your fuse board would have been to move the upstairs lights to the other side that is protected by the RCD, or add one of these pods to the existing breaker.

However they're not cheap, they can be anywhere up to £80 each. A wylex RCBO (what they chose to use) is about £20.

There's nothing inherently dangerous about it, it just means it doesn't fit properly (bit of a gap around the edges, but it fits better than this one....

Edit. Also just seen it's a C6, that's not really ideal but dependant on your installation, it may be ok

Oh, I see what you mean now... About 5 years ago, I had my bathroom refitted. I had spotlights installed; I presume it was done then... Perhaps I should get someone to check things out for me after all?....

Unfortunately it happens quite regularly. Yea it likely was done then. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. If you were to have any kind of electrical inspection in the future, it would likely get noted.

It's unfortunate that the new RCBOS by the same manufacturer don't fit, as it means you're stuck buying those pods, which nobody does because they're so expensive (or perhaps they're so expensive because nobody does.....)
