End Feed Or Solder Ring.

OK, I'm convinced, I'm doing the kitchen plumbing myself, in the immortal words of Mr R.Hammond just before hitting the start buton on the rocket car "how hard can it be".

So the only decision is - solder ring or end feed fittings.

end feed are cheaper but a little more difficult

solder ring are more but easier

So with the solder rings I literally apply a nice even heat until I see the "silver ring" appear at the end of the fitting?

Sounds too easy. it's bound to go pear shaped.

It is easy, just follow simple rules, clean the pipe apply flux, heat gently and for end feed apply a little solder, practice on some pieces first, i'm no plumber but have only ever had one problem with soldering and that was due to water still driping through pipe.

Just because the soldering can be made easier with yorkies, doesn't mean it won't go wrong somewhere.
