He cites Fracking for Gas, Coal and Nuclear in the first part. These are the most expensive forms of power around. They are also the slowest to build more of.

This could be really important news:
The weather in Norway has been dry
Their reservoirs are low.
Most of their leccy is Hydro
They've just plugged in this new bit of wire to us: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Sea_Link
They might not be able to export as much leccy as they thought - they have to keep enough for themselves.
Oh NO, us Brits could have to turn lights off unless it rains a lot
It must be true, it was in a newspaper.
But hang on...
From the Norwegian leccy website, they export through:
"cross-border interconnectors to the Netherlands, Germany, the Baltic states, Poland and Russia."
Not us, then.
Then when you look at the ONS site on UK leccy imports (2105, granted)
This electricity is imported via interconnectors and it comes mainly from France and the Netherlands."
Ah, 1%, and not from Norway. (Not that we'd expect much from France and Netherlands).
They WILL have to adjust those caps though, we may not get the anticipated cost saving from that North Sea Link.
It was going to be £2 a year each!!!
