Extending 2 port valve wires

Thanks for the input everyone.

What about connecting the two together?
I think I am going to keep it simple then and use two lengths of three core.
Can I just query the best way of connecting them, is the junction box method or is it best to crimp butt connectors?

If you used two runs of three core then you would have two brown, two blue & two green/yellow cores. In that scenario you would have to use something other than an earth in a green/yellow core. This is not allowed.

Use PoD's suggestion for a proper job.

Robbie I'd recommend a joint box at each end.

I certainly wouldn't use crimps in an accessible position. It would just make it awkward for future termination of replacement valves. If you were to use crimps, you'd still have to house them in a suitable enclosure.

If you're not happy to use the old unsightly brown joint boxes, you could use a white single pattress with standard connectors and a blank-plate lid.
