Extension - consumer unit comply?

Quick question, I'm building and extension, when I extend the cuircuits (lighting and sockets) I need to get them to comply wit the latest regs.

I undestand its now a requirement to have RCD protection to all cuicuits.

I have a Hager CU with no RCD.

Would it comply to change the MCB's for upstairs and downstairs lighting and sockets to RCBO's?

As far as I can see the RCBO's are a direct replacement for the MCB's in my Hager CU

That is one option of providing RCD protection yes.
