There's no such thing as the right price.

Every builder will have his own ideas. They'll pay their guys differently, rate their output differently and have different ideas of how big a percentage to add for OH&P. Even pay different prices for the same materials

If you trust the guy then it's the right price, at least that's his price. Go elsewhere, get a cheaper price and a crap stressfilled job or a lovely job at less cost. You won't know which untill the end
