Extension to a hip roof to the rear

Looking at buying a detached house that has a Hip roof, Its crying out for a 2 storey rear extension.

What are the options for the roof style for this kind of extension, extension approx 10m wide x 5m deep, original house appox 10m wide, 6m Deep.

Methods which have been used include: having a double-hip roof on the rear extension, with a valley between; or a simple
flat roof on the top, at the level of the existing ridge.
