I'd say it's pretty relevant that someone has pointed out that an EU army was mooted as far back as 23 years ago when your learned cohorts are claiming that an EU army was only thought of recently to protect us all from The Donald. You boys really do need very little help in being made to look stupid do you?

If I remember correctly, It was because of the US (Trump and his anti-Europe rhetoric in particular) that the idea of a European protective force was mentioned.

When was the last time Russia plotted to invade the UK.?
Historically the Russians were Britain's allies in both world wars.
The French, Germans, Spanish have all at various points in history tried to destroy Britain yet everyone keeps going on about the Russians.

Using that logic the UK has invaded over 170 countries in the world, no one should trust us.

Countries that are members of the EU also have the ability to argue, vote against, or in some cases veto, such ideas.

The UK was previously one of the largest and most influential members, but has now thrown away its vote.
