Fitting a new socket in a garage

Well thanks to you all. The fusebox isn't brown, by the way, it's black - just a bit dirty! The house was built in the late 70's. :confused:

I'd suggest you seriously look into having that replaced

with the wiring looking pretty newish, and there only being 4 circuits then it shouldn't cost the earth (but does look like you need a main bonding upgrade)

(but ask for one that has plenty of expansion room - 10 ways at least)

if you ever have the kitchen re-fitted then a separate ring circuit for that would be a good thing to do at the time
 
I love that sticker on the main fuse - the last tenants final meter reading was . . . . . . on 17/8/1985

21 years on and its still there :LOL:
