Hi, I have a super basic question.

I have to fit an outside tap to an existing copper pipe. The pipe just sticks out of the wall, currently has a makeshift tap that the builders were using, but it's basically a copper pipe sticking out.

I bought what I thought I needed which is the tap itself and this:

But actually just realized that it's not really what I want, as the pipe coming out of the wall does not have a bend, it's completely horizontal.

Could you advise as to what to get? I'd like a backplate on which I can just insert the copper pipe on the inner side after cutting.

The one I have is different. I have one with a 90 degrees angle

You will need a back plate with a 90 degree joint and garden tap.

Best to get a plumber to do it for you.

Ah ok thats the one I got actually. But what else do i need to connect the pipe to the joint? Another joint or a piece of extra copper pipe?
