Because her father was stationed there (in the RAF), my mother went to school in Jerusalem (at the Jerusalem Girls' College) in the 1930s. The country she was in was then Palestine and, as I understand it, the flag of the country was then the same as the one we are discussing today - but that was decades before birth of the organisation whose flag it is now being said to be.

No, he's being saying that, because of the way that extremists have been using it recently, those who display are at risk of being thought of as being members of that extremist group. He has certainly not suggested that it is "the flag of the extremist group", which clearly would be nonsense.

All I've done here is to criticise those who express or support the view that asylum seekers are invaders and should be locked up, who say that we're going to have Sharia Law and compulsory burkas imposed if we don't "do something" about Muslims, who say that the ideas of homosexual/mixed-race/transgender relationships are being "rammed down our throats". All I've done here is to say that bigotry and prejudice are wrong. All I've done here is to say I wouldn't want to see Britain turned into a country run on the basis of bigotry and prejudice.

And that's prompted some to say that "therefore" I hate Britain.

You suggested that the English flag shouldn't be flown because it has been adopted by 'far right thugs' BUT you CAN fly a flag that has been adopted by a proscribed terrorist organisation... who have killed and maimed thousands of innocents through indiscriminate bombing campaigns (gov.co.uk).

How have al Qassam adopted the flag of Palestine? They haven't - it's just their national flag. And who have they "killed or maimed through indiscriminate bombing campaigns"? Complete nonsense. There is only one terrorist group there and that is the Zionist occupation forces and their so-called government.

You seem to understand, or appreciate, that the flag you are using as your avatar, is not only a none British flag, but mostly now associated with that of a proscribed terrorist organisation, in the country you live in.

At the very same time, you have wrongly identified me as an extreme right wing fascist, simply for announcing that I am patriotic enough to fly my countries flag, on a pole, at my home. There is nothing extreme, about being proud of, and supporting your own country.
