"MPs have voted by a majority of one to force the prime minister to ask for an extension to the Brexit process, in a bid to avoid any no-deal scenario.

The bill, put forward by Labour's Yvette Cooper, was passed by the Commons in just one day.

However, it will need to be approved by the Lords before it becomes law. It would also still be for the EU to decide whether to grant any extension."

I understand the EU27 have discussed what length of extension they would be prepared to grant, and the conditions they would require.

"Theresa May rules out fourth meaningful vote and no-deal Brexit as she prepares for customs union climbdown

Theresa May has signalled she will not seek a fourth vote on her Brexit deal as she appeared to rule out the UK leaving the European Union without an agreement.

The Prime Minister said MPs had already rejected her divorce deal three times and “as things stand, I can’t see them accepting it”.

She warned the choice was now between leaving the EU with a deal “or not leaving at all” as she seemed to finally ditch her long standing mantra of no-deal being better than a bad one."

I cant see Tories voting for it, but Labour probably will.

Best option would be customs deal with confirmatory vote.

I can't wait for the third and fourth referendums.

If there's a third vote, it has got to spell out what the options are that we're voting for.

It was ridiculous to ask people to vote for something without knowing what it was.

here's an article by an ex-Torygraph Conservative ex-Brexer

(although he does flannel over the fact that EU citizens entering the country could have been registered, and sent home after 3 months in some circumstances, but our governments, including our previous Home Secretaty, Theresa May, didn't bother)

compromise is the order of the day ;) tis how politics works

it will be worded in such a way so as to allow both parties to put there particular spin on the caper

buffoon Corbyn will have to man up and take some responsibility for the 1st time in his political career

after all if Rev Ian Paisley could talk and go into government with Martin Maginus (chuckle brothers) I am sure that TM can agree some thing with buffoon Corbyn

The issue is does corbyn want his grubby finger prints on any deal ;);)

As for the house of Lords ??? well imo who cares

"Take Back Control" and "Restore the Supremacy of Parliament" is what the Leavers promised.
