Fluorescent fittings keep flashing!

large room with 4 twin 6ft fluorescents, 2 twin 8ft, 2 6ft.

every so often some of them will go off for about one second

changed tubes and starters

makes no difference

any ideas?

Do they go off simultaneously? Are the problematic ones all off the same switch?

Maybe a loose connection on a cable between two of the fittings.
