The gas pipe in my property is old, its not copper, does it still need to be earth bonded with a 10mm earth wire from the fuseboard,.
Thanks

If it's made of metal it needs bonding. The idea is that any metal coming in from outside is brought to the same voltage as exposed metal inside. Hopefully that voltage will be zero with respect to earth.

The bonding of gas pipes, this should be made within 600mm of the pipe entering your property and after the meter, so your side of the service.

Could be lead.
However old it might be, it will be some kind of metal.

Certainly won't be plastic.

i have highlighted the important bit of the post, as it is in the property it must be metal so it must be earthed, doesn't matter what metal it is
