I have just bought a 2nd hand gas cooker (Indesit K647r/g) and it appears to have a different connection at the gas cooker end compared to my old cooker. The fixing on the old cooker is a block which the hose screws into but on the new cooker it as a threaded nut onto the pipe (maybe a female connection on the end is needed) and i am not sure what part/adapter i need to use the hose i currently have or whether i need a complete new hose? All the searches i have done seem to come up with a general hose connection like the one i have( a male threaded end) can you get female ends that connect straight to the oven or are connecters required?

Sounds like you need a proper corgi registered guy to connect your cooker and then do the required gas tightness tests.
