Let him in I say. The man speaks sense and is an elected member of a European Parliment.

Free speech to all.

.

What happened to democracy and free speech, freedom of thought and your right to be heard?
if he is so wrong then no one will listen to his rantings.....But is he!.
like millions of others i am sick of pussy footing round the muslims, allah, the koran.......scared to say anything which may offend their faith.........yet at the drop of a hat their religious extremists are ready, able, and willing to blow us all to bits.
its all been said before..........but i for one will not hide behind the settee afraid to voice my opinion on their hate filled death to the west culture.

its about time people woke up and realised the whole god thing is the worlds biggest scam!

too right bodgeit, religion has been the cause of so much war and strife, death and suffering, suppression throughout the centuries

though if we didnt have religion humans being what they are would think of something else to war over. :(

let peace prevail..........

My opinion is that we should bar foreign extremists from our shores, whatever their political or religious persusasion.

BTW Geers is a self proclaimed champion of free speech, yet he wishes to ban the Koran.

They have to keep the idea of terrorism alive, even though it's less prevalent now, than it was twenty five years ago.

Sorry, pro-Wilders folk, you're wrong.

You cannot say that GW has been denied freedom of speech.

It's all very well saying you have a right to FOS and in this country we strenuously uphold that right. But that does not mean you are free to incite hatred, which is what GW was intending to do.

If you think it's OK to allow GW into the country and make his speeches, how come Abu Hamza got jailed for airing his thoughts?

Because he too was inciting hatred.

No doubt Jacqui Smith was grateful for the opportunity of drawing attention away from stories of her own venality, and she seems to have succeeded in this for a while. However, she did not calculate (probably she's quite incapable of being able to think this through) the enormous publicity she has managed to give to Wilders and his film: how many people in Britain had heard of him before this week?

It was also an opportunity to grandstand in front of the many Muslim voters, who traditionally give their block vote to Labour. But it won't save her own seat at the next election, it won't save her government and it won't stop questions being asked about her expenses, so she has been wasting her time.

While this expenses grabbing leech of a Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, was "busy" preventing/barring, an elected Dutch MEP, Geert Wilders from entering our country,,,,,,, a former Russian army soldier, Vitas Plytnykas, jailed in Germany for 7 and a half years in 2001 for manslaughter, after killing a man with a knife,, was released after serving his sentence,,, and because he was an E(pewk)U citizen, was free to come here to the UK.. On March 29th last year, along with an accomplice, Aleksandras Skirda, he murdered Jolanta Bledaite at her flat in Brechin, cut her body up , and threw it into the sea......

How can the Home Office/Authorities in this country be so quick and paranoid, as to prevent "invited" Wilders from coming here, expressing an opinion, and creating open debate on a subject that terrifies this Government to the core, (whatever an individuals view may be on the subject), when the same Authorities are so ignorant of, and ill informed of the criminal/immigration details of an incoming, convicted killer, who went on to kill again here, in the UK.

Hang on, hang on!

These are two distinctly separate issues!

The issue with the murderer is a law & order issue: the fact is this man was dealt with by the legal system operating in the country where he was tried. In the eyes of the law he was convicted, he spent time inside as decided by the judge & then was released. As you say, as an EU citizen, he was free to travel to another country.

Now I think your issue is not that the government should have stopped him but that you think he shouild have been deported back to his native land on release?

And you're 'OK' with this are you secure spark?
