The law doesn't only bar "bilogical" men/transwomen from using women only spaces, it also demands that "biological" women/trans men use those same women only spaces.

Firstly there are genuine problems of how to ensure fairness, but also there is a political climate of hostility to transgender people.
It's a U-turn by the IOC, and some people are happy about it and some are not.
Unfortunately the way it's been done discriminates against people with certain medical conditions, and that's not the direction that society should be travelling in.
It's also scientifically unsound.
