Glow Worm Boiler Timer

This boiler should have a permanent live whatever happens. You are reading a manual for the wrong boiler which isn't really helping. Unfortunately I've looked through my manuals and I cant find the manual, neither find it online. However I'm fairly certain that it takes a 240v SL, I'm sure it will be obvious when checking the electrical connections on the boiler.
I'm also surprised no one has suggested connecting the boiler to an indirect tank for hot water, seeing as this would save alot of money on electricity.

your still not reading what i wrote-

We are talking about entirely different things now.

The boiler can have a timer fitted as an option and it is most likely available to purchase from glow worm, im not talking about wiring a timer into the on off switch at this time.

i agree, that timing the mains switch to the boiler on/off is not acceptable, but im saying that the boiler was designed to have an optional timer fitted and i see no reason not to fit one.

fairly sure it wasnt actually, the only reason for the plastic spacing in the fascia was cost cutting so all the Compact models got the same outer plastic trim.

so the boiler must surely have the facility to have an external timer fitted then- as someone else said, there will be a link in the wiring which will need removing and a timer wiring in
