I suggested that I had considered it, but from that post, where I don't understand a 'try ti be', I discounted it, for people like you.

Most people in society, where they do not know the function of hazard lights, parking on double yellows, pushing in front of a queue, then I would not donate a body part to them. They deserve to die.

In essence, idiots in society deserve to die at some stage, but if they die, and give their body parts to other idiots, then biology fails. But people here, asking stupid questions, should die.

"Idiots deserve to die" where have I heard that statement before? oh I remember now it was at the Wannsee conference in Germany where Adolf Eichman and his cohorts were discussing the "final solution" and how to dispose of the people who did not match their ideal.
A very dangerous road to go down methinks, has nothing been learnt in the last 80 years?

I signed up for organ donation on-line a few years ago. So did my daughter. If you are willing to accept an organ - then you should be willing to donate either some (or as in our case) all of our organs. What excuse is there NOT to let others benefit from your death?

I've carried a donor's card for years and firmly believe that the only thing keeping me alive is the fear of losing my organs. :D That said, at nearly 75, my,heart, lungs, liver etc will be a bit past their sell-by date and perhaps no longer suitable for transplanting. This leads on to another question. Is there an age limit for organ donation, and if so, am I carrying that card around in vain?
One last point. Despite its age and abuse by alcohol, my brain is still in good nick and I would be quite willing to give someone the right of first refusal as the recipient of the worlds first brain transplant on my death. Now, can I think of anyone who might benefit from the receipt of a second hand brain? Mmmmmmmmmm.

Anyone who has qualms about donating their body for medical research only have to fone the organ doner people and they will give you a blow by blow account of the proceedures involved.
Your mortal remains are treated with the utmost respect and reverence, hopefully when I fade away someone might be given the chance of life.

But would you accept an organ to save your life? I guess not eh?

I didn't mean literally that idiot people should be treated differently, And I think to compare someone that is physically disabled, to label them as an idiot, is irresponsible, especially as a parent of someone that is disabled. That is disrespectful, and totally unjustified. My brother is handicapped, and relies on the use of a wheelchair, but teaches people, and presents local radio, so I would never term the use disabled, with idiot. You made that connection.

Idiots - people that park illegally, but by using hazard warning lights, think thats OK, people that use their car horn when leaving, illegal and unneccesary, idiots that drive drunk, but when caught, say they never touched a drop, Idiots, that continually criticise my spelling, but then spell criticise incorrectly.

Finally some proper remarks have been posted. So I would be selective as to who receives my organs. If you are 80, and had a car accident...times up maybe, if you are 20 driving a stolen car, nope.

If you are a normal person, and needed an organ, through no fault of your own, then, maybe yes. Even a live transplant.

I suppose it is a moral question, but as stated above, I don't like idiots, like the time I was cleaning up an ATM cashbox explosion, the area was cordoned off, but people skipped the cordon, walked into the dye, and attempted to use to off line atm.....idiots.

But the term idiot referred to as disabled? That's like the old term Spastic referring to disabled people, and is totally unacceptable.

Good question.

So yep. You've confirmed what we all thought. You are indeed stupid.

MalcolmX .
And there stands your limited and blinkered knowledge of what others believe and think.

Nice. Abuse for no reason.
Not at all. You posted a comment, i simply showed you the link - the link you actually posted 2 nights ago - so, on the basis of your comment you were providing us with confirmation, not that any were needed.

Sorry shipmate, we all cling to straws in order to stay alive, I say you would and you say you wont, something that cannot be proved. Just lets hope you never need a transplant.
