About our changing the agreement .........no problem ......
Oh no it isn't, nothing has been finalised .....they the EU want a level playing field and the fish in UK waters. So you remainers here's an opportunity to make your rational case as to why we should agree to a 'level playing field' and give the EU the right to fish in our waters .......

Let's have a rational argument .......why on Earth should we agree to the EU requests or any other nations request of a similar s
nature.........

Here's your opportunity to present an emotionless response to a serious question .......

The withdrawal agreement was. It was the foundation for anything further, no deal or trade deal.

Seriously, red ink? I suppose we should just be glad you haven't found out how to change the font into Comic Sans.

46% of UK exports go to EU

EU has more leverage

No Level Playing Field no car manufacturing in UK

There ya go Gas, took about 30 seconds to debunk your nonsense
thats clipped your wings

You have to consider them country by country. You also have to avoid opinion presented as fact. I know that can be hard. But it’s important if we are to adhere to the OPs request

Because you can't have a trade agreement without agreeing on things?

UK does not and will not have a trade deal, or any kind of deal, on a country by country basis as far as the EU is concerned.

That's correct, but the ramifications of no deal will the continent on a country by country basis, for example 18% of German car exports are UK bound.

Trade agreement with USA: we sell you our NHS. You sell us your chicken.
Trade Agreement with China: We sell you our technology, you sell us your cheap clothes.
Trade agreement with Japan: We sell you our cars, you sell us your electronics.

Trade agreement with EU: we sell you our fish, you sell us your pharmaceutical products.

What's not to like?

That's 18% loss to German car industry. Or UK pay even more for German cars.
The UK loses 10% of exports to Germany.

The EU will not consider a deal on a country by country basis. The EU want a deal, but will not sacrifice the integrity of the Single Market for any one industry or country, or even a conglomerate of countries. Therefore it's pointless trying to separate any industrial sector, or try to isolate any EU country.
The UK has tried that and it was a pointless exercise. It failed. The EU is still united.

I don't think the fishing is that important, bit of a red herring:p. The EU recognise that we regain sovereignty of our waters after brexit, it wouldn't be that hard to come to some sort of arrangement that keeps everyone happy, as long as it's UK controlled.

The backstop however was sold to UK n the basis that it would likely never be used, Barnier has since threatened to ban trade between NI and the rest of the UK.
That's a very serious threat, and downright nasty.

You reap what you sow.
