I was in a wholesaler the other day, and the guy next to me had some light switches that had a couple of neutral terminals (no, it wasn't a DP switch - ordinary 2G2W light switch) - looks like they are finally making switches designed for loop-in-at-switch wiring.

Stand by for posts from people who have put the black into the neutral terminal and the red into one of the others...

just when we're finally getting through to DIYers, they go and complicate things by producing switches with MORE THAN 2 TERMINALS!

ban, if you dont mind me asking - i heard you work in IT, why were you in an electrical wholesalers?

Sorry - no - I didn't find out.

Buying stuff for non-notifiable work - some T4 luminaires, push-to-break door switches, a Varlight dimmer (not for use with the fluoros)...

im second fixing on a site at the moment and the sparks have first fixed the lighting circuits in this manner, the neutrals in the switches are put in a connector block

i'm not so sure,

pro: less box depth needed as terminal block doesn't have to sit behind accessory
con: the more wires connect to the plate the more of a pain it will be to fit/remove the plate.
