Folks,

I have worcester bosch 240 combi whish is working ok. It is located in an outbuilding with a room stat and a honeywell pipe frost stat. With all the recent cold weather the heating is coming on all night when we are safely tucked up in bed.

I have set the room stat to 0 and the pipe stat is left at what ever setting it was when we first moved into the house (which is set well over 40c). With this setting the heating comes on every 2 hours for over 20 mins and heats up the house when we really dont need it.

My question is is there any thing i can tweak, i'm aware that the system is performing how it should but my concern in the heating is not really needed at night.

Also i'm told gas consumption is cheaper if a constant temp is mainteiend by the boiler???

Any advice is welcome.

I would try lowering the temperature setting of the pipe frost stat. It's not surprising that the pipes in the outhouse would fall below 40C fairly quickly. If it takes a couple of hours I'm guessing that they're fairly well insulated.
