dri box looks good ! could i use any transformer within this box if i wanted too ? and just get 1 instead of the 2?

As long as it gives you 12V dc 400mA.

There are many LED Drivers 12v DC I show one example which would give you the power required. The problem with out door stuff is when it gets warm or hot causes the air around it to expand and likely it will escape.

As it cools it forms a part vacuum and will draw some thing in from outside. This could be water which would be a problem. In a ventilated box like a bird box can stop worse of weather yet allow cooling but one has to look at where it is going and form a judgement. Clearly only you can judge the risks involved.
