Modern TV's, no longer include all of the input options, you would need to examine the back of the set, to see if it includes yellow phono, and/or a multi-pin SCART socket. Assuming it has - you need either BNC to phono lead, or SCART plug.

Alternatively, you could use a LAN cable, to connect it to your router, then try to find it's allocated IP, on your LAN, enter the IP in your browser, then work out the default username and password, to log into the video. That further assumes, the reset button, reset the password/username.

If it's an IP camera then like Harry said, just plug an ethernet cable in it from your router and then you can watch it on your tv, your laptop, your phone.
Google how to do that, use a short cable to set it up to confirm it works as you want then you can buy a cable long enough to get it to where you want it.

FFS ….if he can’t get it working on a short bit of cable to a video input …then what’s the chance he can sort it via the IP route …which has many other sidelines / settings to sort

If it still does not work then (as it looks like an old camera and we are not getting the full info on it here) then like I said - chuck it away and get a new one - they are cheap enough.

You can order them online, but check this is actually what you need, as I only took a very quick look at your issue.

im sure its a BNC plug on back of the camera. and defo a yellow phono on channel/ port 3 on TV

If you want a BNC to phono cable, I would imagine that the 1-2m long ones will not be of any use to you.

Why?

In that case you may be better using the appropriate coax with a BNC plug fitted one end and a phono plug the other.
All are available via amazon.

Yes that is what I need but cant find one for sale (sorry no amazon account) Do you know of a proper electrical supply shop that could sort me out (anyone says screwfix or toolsation wants punching)

The scart socket on your TV, is basically the same as the yellow phono socket, except the phonos are combined into a multi-plug.

I though the scart was digital and the phono was anolog just like the BNC

I was quoted 600 quid for a 4 camera insulation

Nope SCART is analogue I/O. BNC is used for several purposes, analogue, digital, and RF - which is why I first suggested the BNC might be an old 10baseT network connection.

If that where the case then i would need to work out which channel the SCART runs on

Where SCART cable desinged for video cassette players or something?
