Help needed

Hi all. I live in a 5 man house share. lad downstairs not paying the bills and gas cut off. Thank phuck its not January. How do I get this back on in my name?
Currently EDF, he will not say what is owed, just being a dcik. Called landlord (i'm on holiday, i don't care) My rent pays £40 a month as well as the 3 others. He just hasn't paid it. Thats all for now. Hope you can advise. Dan.

Who's name is the gas under? If it's the LL then I'm sure him leaving you with no heat or hot water (water heated by gas?) is illegal.
