Yep, rather spendy. You might be surprised to know that the NHS are also paying rather good cash for operations in the private sector to get the waiting lists down. The local surgeons will form a limited company to provide the service and dictate prices.

I know some surgeons who say that working for the NHS is a loss leader!!!
