Hi all hoping you guys can help and apologies if I ask any obvious questions or what's been asked before.

I have an ideal conventional boiler with a Honeywell Analog stat, a hot water tank upstairs with a UP2 British gas programmer by the tank.

Bought a Hive 2 and the electrician has replaced the Stat direct for the receiver and programmer is still in place.

Am I correct in thinking the receiver should be in place of the programmer and the wires for the old stat ignored?

Any help would be a lot of help!

Receiver will fit on the up2 back plate, just link the stat connections in the wiring centre/junction box.Ensure you have the correct receiver, there are 2 types, instructions for install/set up are pretty straight forward.
