Hosepipe ban - bluebadge exempt

Some disabilities call for lot of water , hot tubs for example are tariff free when imported as they qualify as medical equipment .
That makes a bit more sense! I can turn the tap on, using my BB, for my wife's garden...

A hot tub for me would be nice. Except I wouldn't be able to get out...

I found it helps with myopathy, You can fit steps to aid getting in or out , or build into decking area .

Why does the government want to ban hosepipes.
Are they dangerous or something.

7 million people in Britain will now be subjected to a hose pipe ban to conserve water. An unavoidable situation, if you were reading this in 1992 when the last reservoir was built.

We haven't had a hosepipe ban for 30 years in the midlands, severn trent rip us off blind but they sure know how to supply water....

Probably related to privatisation. A lack of long term planning.

Course!

All the money that should be ploughed into infrastructure has to keep the shareholders happy.

So, the actual answer: You're still allowed to use water from the taps on your garden using a watering can or drip irrigation system (in general), it's spraying from a hose that's banned because it's wasteful.

Since blue badge holders generally have mobility issues they may not be able to stroll around watering things with a watering can, so they're exempt.
