hot tap problem

tbh mate this sounds normal. ive a block of flats i take care of and every time new tenant moves in i get a call out. hw ok everywhere but bath tap. its just the flowrate. and youve noticed it get wrose over the last couple months as temps have dropped. it works simply like this, and this is just an example.

say boiler produces 10 litres of water raised but 35 degrees c.

in summer incomming water is say 20 degrees c thus 10 lpm is 55 degs.

come winter the water may only be 5 deg. therfore tap is 40. degs.

it depends how fast you run that bath. try running the tap 1/2 way on and see if your water is better.

Thanks for the help, feared that it might be related to the temperature. Is there any value in lagging the hot water pipe?

tbh honest i wouldnt think it'll solve your problem. just plan your bath time better  . at least its not gonna cost ya.
