Hot Tub

The hot tub my mum is looking at getting, says it needs a 25 Amp circuit, & it says that the Air Blower is 1300W, plus the Heater at 3kW

The run of SWA will be 42m from the Outside JB to where the Hot Tub will go, plus 3m of T+E from the JB to the House CCU.

I was going to have the hot tub on a RCBO in the house CCU,& use 3 core SWA.

So what size cable would be needed :?:

Just a bit iof fun MDB, but being serious you should spend time planning ahead. You did your shed and loft last year, now you are in the middle of a kitchen refurb and are now looking at more outside work.

I am not put in the hot supply fully yet, only the 3m of T+E which will run from the house CCU to the outside JB, so that I can cement over the chase in the kitchen wall.

Have you done the City & Guilds 2381 16th edition regulations course yet ? As basic cable calculations are covered on this course. Mind i can remember doing cable calcs in my 1st year of college on the 2360 part 1 course, We used the tables in BS7671 and the OSG.

I passed my cycling proficiency test but I found it in no way prepared me to install and test electrical installations.

If you are only installing the small 3m length, then 6 or 10mm will eat it - You can then calculate the SWA size at a later date.
