B'stards. And they cut/delayed the new hospital building initiative started by the Tories.
How far into their 14 years was this initiative announced?

Does it matter?, the fact is the initiative has been abandoned by Labour.
Of course it matters.
Anyone can make a promise (they know can't be done without significant borrowing) that they know they'll not have to deliver (because they're tanking in the polls).
If the incoming party honour that promise, they lose in both the extra borrowing and "it was our idea anyway" stakes.
And if they ditch it, they lose again.
But you already fully understood that: you just wanted another pop at Labour

But they weren't 'tanking in the polls' when that initiative was proposed, it was part of Johnsons election manifesto, the one he won by a landslide.
It wasn't as successful as they hoped, in part because of Johnson's political demise.
But it's Labour who scrapped the plan (or delayed it by 10 years knowing they'll be long gone).
Them's the facts.

They did make a start, the Dyson Cancer Centre in Bath was completed and opened for patients in April 2024.
How many new hospitals have Labour built?
So, they opened one in,,,,,,,,,two or three years? Or was it closer to five or six years?

For a fair comparison, come back to me in the year or so leading up to the next GE, when Labour may have to adopt the Tory strategy of "buy some votes and hope they forget to shower that was the rest of our term"
