How come the police weren't issued riot gear to quell the idiots ?

The Bristol policeman appears t on done civil unrest .......

 

At a guess, because deploying police in full riot gear to deal with a mostly peaceful protest about police brutality, is kind of missing the point a bit.

 

If Gasbanni had been following the news he might've noticed the London police were wearing their normal hats, but also had riot gear hats hanging in their belt.

In Bristol the police made a decision not to intervene on the statue and to keep their presence low key -that way the police get the moral high ground and the protesters are seen as vandals.

The story is a bit more nuanced......but then some of us only listen to 3 words

Police were probably taking photos of the culprits, undercover police among the crowd as well.
It was only an old statue of a slave trader, not worth starting a riot over.

 

Everything anyone says, thinks or does is racist.

Why weren't the rioters / protestors / peaceful demonstrators turned back before they got to the demonstration as they would have been if it were a Tommy Robinson meeting?

So..I watched some of the news tonight..

The statue felled also funded schools to which black people attended and gained their education.

The mayor of Bristol is black..(another hiccup in the prviliedged selection there surely nothing to do with being the best man for the job or was it a token vote)

Other news..
A premier footballer noted only a 3rd of football players are black. - Wow that's not a bad representation of the population of blacks in UK.

Young Blacks are more likely to be arrested over white and Asians(who are also black or not?)

Oh and a black guy comments about Winston statue being defaced because he was a racist..omfg I'm not even going to go further there..


Etc etc.

I'm a left handed redhead every tool I get doesnt fit or had tools etc all designed for right handers its discrimination! Every person calls me a lefty or a gingah I cry myself to sleep every night.. not.

Even my metal detector has a discriminate button on it of course I've removed it and taped over the hole.

 

Why do some people have to drag a nice thread about criminal vandalism and police tactics down to Race?

 

What a sad life you must lead.

Fortunately some of us have a different view and don't tend to discriminate.

Even towards self declared racists like you.
