Quite an unusual setup. Vaillant ecotec 837 combi, Drayton LP241, and a 2-port valve.
Basically, the 2-port valve has been plumbed in, just after the first rad in the system which is in a drying room (fitted with TRV turned up to maximum). The idea being that when this valve is shut, the only rad operating will be the one in the drying room (when the heating is not needed on but the laundry needs drying).
The two 'zones' obviously won't work independently of each other because we're only using one 2-port valve. So, it will be either, every rad working (including drying room)(power to valve to open it), or just the rad in the drying room working (no power to valve to close it).
Using a dual channel programmer (LP241) and have wired up like this so far:
FUSED 3 AMP POWER
L- 1 (Terminal on junction box/centre)
N- 2
E- 3
PROGRAMMER
N- 2
L- 1
HW OFF- N/A
CH OFF- 4
HW ON- N/A
CH ON- 5
BOILER
L- 1
N- 2
E- 3
3- 4
4- 5
5- N/A
2- PORT VALVE
BROWN- ?
BLUE ?
GREY- ?
ORANGE- ?
GREEN/YELLOW- 3
Where do the wires from the valve go? Many thanks in advance for any help on this!!!
