IIRC, Doitall is right on this one.
The Ecotec will fire if 240v is put on terminal 4, but the user may turn the boiler off and also expect the controls to be isolated.
When live and neutral are taken from 3 and 5, the controls will (correctly) be unpowered when the boiler power switch is turned off.
There's no need to put the boiler into HW only mode, as the programmer and stats will take care of this.

Sensibly thinking though, the OP should have gone the Y-plan route for 2 fully independent zones.
I recently did a system with 2 UF zones and a 3rd rad zone. The grey wires from the MVs were wired to the external out on the boiler, the oranges back in to fire the combi.
All the other controls, programmable stats, pumps, MV lives etc were wired independently to the boiler.
