Question.
Am I correct to say that a 13A fuse spur can feed any number of socket outlets, almost like adding a mini radial?
 
Yes, but remember, 13amp isn't going to gie you a lot to play with :D

I hope you don't intend on using washers/dryers, heaters etc on that circuit.
 
Does the extra floor area served by a long fused spur count towards the toal floor are permitted to be served by a ring? Presumably it does, so maximum floor area seved by spur and ring 100m^2

I'm not sure that it was ever 'a regulation' was it - I've only ever seen it as guidance.

that I can certainly believe. However, as I recently wrote, to apply that 'rule' blindly is a sign of inability to think. As I said, I could show you some massive rooms/areas for which one 16A supply would be quite adequate, and some tiny rooms/areas for which is was far from adequate.
