How to wire Texecom Odyssey grade 3 sound with Scantronic 9651

Hello,

The Texecom grade 3 sounder has a few additional wires compared to a grade 2 version. How do wire a Texecom grade 3 sounder with a Scantronic 9651?

Grade 2 is very easy, it only requires 5 wires.
12v, 0v, OPT1 (Bell ), OPT2 (Strobe), TR (Tamper return)

Looking at intall instructions grade 3 has 2 more wires, where do they connect in the panel?

9651 is grade 2 ....so pointless ...So not required... wire as grade 2

I read the grade 3 external sounder monitors battery health every 24 hours. If you wire the grade 3 sounder as grade 2, will it not go off after 24 hours if the 6th fire is not connected?

The 5 wires will be fine.

The test input is the 6th wire?
The fault relay would report bell faults back to the panel, to a zone, or fault input in the panel its connected to.

Not sure whether the 9651 has a fault input.

No fault input on the 9651 but you could use one of the zones, like secureiam said.
