Hi all,
I am looking to replace my old TMC dial thermostat. I would like one with a 1 hour boost type feature, but i cant seem to track one down.

To be used on a combi boiler.

I have looked through many instruction manuals on here but cannot seem to find one.

many Thanks in advance for any pointers

The wall thermometer I use has a timer built in and if I increase the temp it reverts back at next time change. It is a Horstmann DRT2 from screwfix and I find changing the temperature at different times of day works far better than old on/off type.
Of course it relies on open plan house and with my daughter's house with rooms each with their own thermostatic radiator valve it does not work so well but no thermostat will work well where there are two systems trying to do same thing.

Thanks for the input,

Im after one that has a + 1 hour feature for this reason really.

When the system is off and we have been out or it feels a little chilly, we turn the thermostat up until it click on./ The problem is we always forget to turn it back down and end up with the heating on for hours.
With the +1 hour/ boost function you can just press the button and it will turn on for 1 hour and then revert back to the timer mode.

I have seen the on system timers on other systems but i have yet to find this feature on a thermostatic type

I've got the Horstmann too. It would be so much better if it had a one hour boost button. The CM907 by Honeywell is more sophisticated, and you can program your own boost temperature and duration. Only £15 more expensive.

Sparky spike thanks for that, i hadnt come across that one before.

My only reservation is that it is far easier to slide it from auto to manual, than it is to use the party function. I think that what i need is a button clearly visible that only needs pressing.

I have seen this type but only on timer switches before.

Although i would use this party function the wife would use the slider and then forget to move it back

The CM907 is good, but the optimisation doesn't always work that well for me. The boiler woke me up at 5.30 this morning, and the house was up to temperature by 5.45 (instead of 6.55 ). It's done this a few times over the last few weeks :?:

I went for the Cm907 in the end. Wired up easy enough, set up ok, just trialing it out now.

I did see on a few sites people having the same optimization problems with it coming on too early. Some seem to think its the night time temp setting being too low. So the if its set to be 10 deg thru the night the boiler thinks it needs to get from 10 to the morning temp at say 21. it will come on early to try to make the 11 deg difference. They suggest about 16-17 for the night time temp to get it to come closer the time in the morning.
Might be worth a try , dont know what yours is set at APTSYS?

I think it's set to 16C overnight, but I've never seen the temperature go below 18C since all the new insulation.

I always leave my set back temp set for 6C.

Strange thing is that the only problems I have ever encountered have been with the CM67. All the units I fitted failed on the morning setting. Rather than mess about I took them all out one by one as they failed, returned to Plumb Center and replaced with the Siemens REV23 FOC for the customer.

Honeywell certainly seemed to have a problem with these.
