Morning, my Ideal icos HE15 is very low on pressure. I am aware there should be a filling loop either on the boiler or the hot water tank but I can't find it. There is a silver flexible hose in the airing cupboard but it does not have a valve attached. Please can you help me locate the loop as it's a bit like Where's Wally at the moment.

The white expansion vessel in that pic is for your HW Cyl, do you have a red vessel anywhere ?

Nope. What you see is what you get. Nothing in the loft either (unless It's been covered in insulation, anyway...)

Whats below boiler, kitchen cupboard?

your boiler can be fitted as an open vent in which case you would have an F&E tank in the loft or somewhere above the height of the highest radiators, or it can be fitted as a sealed system, which I think you have as the installer has went to the trouble of installing a pressure guage, so you must have a system expansion vessel somewhere

It is above a dishwasher but there us a cupboard next to it which looks like it houses a likely candidate. Photo attached. Is the silver hose with the valves the guilty party?

Yes, certainly looks like a filling loop. Open the tap on the right and keep an eye on the pressure gauge.

BTW, put the Carbon Monoxide detector on the top of the boiler, not underneath. (y)

yes that is it, open both valves until the gauge under the boiler is between 1 and 1.5 Bar then close both valves again

Woohoo! Thanks all. If only everything in life was as easy as that .
