So.. my partner went to see his dad for the last time last night and stayed for dinner. Watched the TV prog with Jon Snow, talked about the virus at length (which he said was a massive overreaction) and told him for the second time that he can't come to visit again until things improve, but we'd drop off shopping for him and arrange for his paper to be delivered. He refused both offers.
His response was sarcastic, nasty, a promise to go to tesco every day as he has been (bearing in mind that he'd go once, with me when I took him every week up to being told to isolate by the gov) and a hint to commit suicide, while rummaging through all his medication. My partner was very upset when got home, unsurprisingly.
I'm not sure now how to handle this. I don't understand why he is being so stubborn, dramatic and, well, selfish. He seems to be taking it all personally and that we are the worst people in the world by obeying the guidelines.
