The force / universe etc must have always existed but a God is a very different thing which apparently has nothing better to do than influence humans and generally tell them to be nasty to and go to war with each other in order to force a particular view on everyone.
Gods are made up to control people and/or explain things we don't understand (like why/how we are here) by dodging the question (we are here because God put us here) and not asking the obvious question (why/how is god here)

That's the problem with infinity, it's not quantifiable and there are many infinities. For example, between the numbers 1 and 2 there are an infinite number of fractions, but then what about 2 and 3, 3 and 4 0 and "inifinity" etc. It's not something that our brains are equiped to deal with .
Who's going to explain the doughnut shaped universe (travel along its surface you will never reach its end.) that has no limits but is still growing larger, as evidenced by the growing gap between stars/galaxies...

Infinite , implies something without ending. therefore the universe can't possibly be infinitely large. If it has boundaries (no matter how far away they are) then it's finite.

Why would it need to expand faster than the speed of light? There is not a "wall" for the light to bounce back off.

Ah, but the "something" it is expanding into would already be part of the universe since the universe is everything.
Either it is expanding into literally nothing (ie creating more universe out of nothing), or the expansion we see is a localised expansion in a small corner of the a much bigger universe than we understand.
