According to the chap I was with when I gave a young lad some money outside of a banging bar late one night ......... he told me what he wanted it for it was to get a bed and a meal at an all night shelter in the area ........so now he only needed a bit more ........the aquaintance had left at this point ..........so I turned round and got some cash from a cash machine and gave him some more so he could get a bed ......

What did he do ???? He burst out crying and sobbing .......played I don't think so .........

They are all scams unless they give you a receipt.

It's a judgement call, but most are indeed scams. The all night shelters are free for the homeless; but that's not to say that he wasn't everwhelmed by your generosity.
