The alternative is a messy EU free UK (Brexit) that has so far cost UK tax payers more than our entire history of payments to the EU - and counting.

A workmate called him "Tory Blair". She was very despairing of him.
Me - IMO all he did was his plan to be President Blair of the EU. His actions - uncontrolled immigration from the 'new 8' EU was a progenitor in the UK leaving the EU. His (religious) support of 'dubya' led to the 20 years in Afghanistan and how much immigration.
