where are you sourcing the gas engineers ? ,
and were they specific repair engineers ?.

people these days normally go for the cheapest as well but they end up paying more in the end

just because you hear someones view don't mean thats be all and end all ;)

Hi all.

All the engineers has good reviews, ratedpeople, checks trade etc.
One was recommended by a friend and other from this forum.

I guess to them it's more hassle than its worth to repair rather than replace.

How would I vent the mid point of the is an air lock.

The Wilo pump has an automatic venting routine?

Ok I will try to get a British Gas engineer out tomorrow, the misses wants to scrap it.

Lock 3 port valve in mid position, isolate valve under push fit cap, remove push fit and slowly open isolation valve.

As has been pointed out. We're not there we can't test it but based on the information we have the boiler isn't the fault.

Well im not sure how you are supposed to find good tradesmen?
Word of mouth and recommendations haven't proved useful so far!

I heard someone say no good tradesmen ever advertise, they don't need to...., but how do people who are new to an area (like me) find them?

Tried removing the possible air lock, only water came out.
It's pushfit as the original release vale snapped off (2nd engineer).

Thanks all who have contributed, I'm going to admit defeat, see what BG can do.
If nothing then new boiler time :(

Cheers all

Ha quite possibly!

If only there were well trained reliable boiler engineers in Yorkshire..... Think I may retrain!

I've said it countless of times on here , you need to ask why they recommend them because if they have only had a service done or had a boiler installed then that recommendation is bullocks ;) . have they done any diagnosing ( fault finding ) , is the question ;)

same with plumbing , why would you accept a recommendation when they've only installed a tap when you need someone to install a bathroom ;)

people recommend shyte most times so the right questions need to be asked ;)

Have you checked the pump valves are fully open?.
It is not impossible to have a second failed pump. There could even be some grot blocking the 3 port
