Actually Adam, I think there was a little more to this matter than your post suggests. I seem to remember that there was some minor incident of cottaging in South London. And I bet most of you non-Londoners didn't even know there were cottages on Clapham Common.

Ah yes, Peter Tatchell, glad you said that. I too have read his website. Perhaps you should read Mr Tatchell's article, entitled "LABOUR IS BLOCKING GAY EQUALITY". There are several articles of a similar ilk on his website.

By the way, did you know that Peter Tatchell is a member of the Green Party? He was a member of the Labour party, he includes his letter of resignation on his website:

I cannot belong to a party that has contempt for democracy and its own members.

I can't stand Ben Alton he sold out and now rubs shoulders with Royalty and that orrible little man that writes musicals and looks abit like this, Jim Davidsons a nasty bit of work but at least he,s honest about it.

Well I'm glad you said that. I like Ben Elton from his Young Ones/Blackadder days (I had trouble explaining to someone the other week that I do know the difference between Rowan Atkinson and Ben Elton, BE co-wrote Blackadder!) I even like some of his stand-up. But you are right, he has become a bit of a sell-out. Has he retained his "Ooooooh, getting a bit political" catchphrase?

As for Jimmy D, not really a comedian is he! I have seen one of his stand-up shows (on video) and wasn't really sure which bits were meant to be funny. He always strikes me as a bit of a prat really. My comedy taste does extend to poo jokes and willy jokes, but his doesn't seem to reach beyond it.

I know, all a matter of taste, I am sure that some people like him. After all, I know for a fact that some people detest Lee Evans. Yet I think he is possibly the funniest stand-up comedian of his era!

Well Peter Tatchell says the Conservative Party claims to be more liberal-minded and caring, but in reality it still supports anti-gay discrimination the most telling symbol of continuing Conservative homophobia is the party's refusal to support gay equality on any issue. Whenever there is an attempt in parliament to overturn legal inequality, the Tories always vote for discrimination.
