most people would expect a British product or a British made to have a high to very high input only from the uk
but infact your British beef can be reared in Argentina all its life with half a carcase shipped frozen and providing somthing like 14% off conversion is done in the uk it turns to British beef
similar with say cars where the same ford can be British /American/Spanish /Portuguese/Australian as long as the very same components are assembled in a factory in the country to give its final place off manufacture
another example is powertools for example makita/dewalt /ryobi/bosch and others all made in places like Malaysia/Singapore /Mexico /china/Slovakia but place off manufacture rather hidden now the place off manufacture should be as prominent in size as manufacturers detail

now knowing dewalt well if you look on the ratings plate you will see germany and sperrymore as the german an uk manufacturing centres buuuttt dewalt print date and serial number in the battery housing on there tools but in this instance it also contains the label thats covered by the battery saying made in china
so beware you may be far more chinease/german /mexican than you think
