most people would expect a British product or a British made to have a high to very high input only from the uk
but infact your British beef can be reared in Argentina all its life with half a carcase shipped frozen and providing somthing like 14% off conversion is done in the uk it turns to British beef
similar with say cars where the same ford can be British /American/Spanish /Portuguese/Australian as long as the very same components are assembled in a factory in the country to give its final place off manufacture

another example is powertools for example makita/dewalt /ryobi/bosch and others all made in places like Malaysia/Singapore /Mexico /china/Slovakia but place off manufacture rather hidden now the place off manufacture should be as prominent in size as manufacturers detail
but here is the crafty point ..got my beautiful amazing dewalt DeWALT DCW620 18v xr
1/2" router £355 with 10% off today

now knowing dewalt well if you look on the ratings plate you will see germany and sperrymore as the german an uk manufacturing centres buuuttt dewalt print date and serial number in the battery housing on there tools but in this instance it also contains the label thats covered by the battery saying made in china

so beware you may be far more chinease/german /mexican than you think ;) :giggle:

Apparently it can all be made abroad if the final stage in production is here in the UK. So a guitar made in Chinna minus the strings becomes a guitar made in Britain wh or if they are added in the UK.

The world can't exist now without input from China. Often mocked previously for their futile attempts at Westernised production, China have lifted themselves to superpower status. I don't see it as a threat. I have existed largely in peace on this planet for almost 60 years, the biggest threat to that peace coming from Trump.

If we look into and analyse any UK products, it would be difficult to pick out any that didn't have some foreign input.

I tried reading your sentences out loud but ran out of breath and died about a quarter of the way through.
