I have had a look in my house fuse box and from what i can see its a MK sentry box, the main switch says 63amp 30ma

I doubt it is an RCBO, what BS number is it?
It is also frowned upon to have a single RCD covering all circuits.

That cable is only good for 20A*

Not according to 4D4A.

I was referring to volt drop. No point saying that 4mm will be fine for 40A, when it's buried in the ground and run over 45 metres!

All the more reason for the OP to get his electrician to do the design calculations before he goes out buying breakers etc.
