Intercom sound buzzer question

Greetings,

We had this intercom installed last year and was wondering if we could get the sound down – as each time someone buzz, I jump and even hear the buzzer from the flat above.

Is that something that we can do ourselves or do we need the installer to come back in.

Open the handset , there is a high / low volume jumper inside

by handset, do you mean the item on the picture?
the one on the left - correct?
not the one fix on the wall on the right?

now the question is where that volume button? or is that more complex?

you are talking to a novice / newbie diy here!!!! lol

i see where the control is - but what need to be done to turn the sound done? does that need to be replace with one with lower sound? do i need to switch from left to right?

Pull the jumper link off the right (high ) and plug it onto the left ( low )

Amazing! it work! I am not jumping scared anymore when the buzzer is being rang!!!!!
